適逢東吳大學人社院舉辦第32屆系際學術研討會之際，東吳大學社會學系邀請韓國西江大學社會學系教授、現為韓國社會學會會長 Moo-Kyung KIM 教授來台進行學術交流與訪問。

講者簡介：
Moo-Kyung KIM，法國第五大學社會學博士，韓國西江大學社會學系教授，曾任西江大學社會科學院、公共政策研究生院院長，現任韓國社會學會會長。專業領域為日常生活的社會學、想像力的社會學、政治社會學。

講　題：The Idea of “Mythodology” and Its Two Applications: the “Socio-cultural Topics” and the “Semantic Basin”

演講摘要：
Contemporary culture could be characterized by the “Civilization of the image” where different kind of the images are omnipresent in our ordinary lives. This situation demands to the sociologists the exploration of the “mythodology” (myth+ methodology), neologism employed by the French sociologist Gilbert Durand.
After a brief presentation of the idea of “mythodology”, indispensable, in my opinion, in the era of the “Civilization of the Image”, I will explore its two major methods. First, I will present the “Socio-cultural topics” which examine, at least, two myths in tension in an historical moment, and their transformation. I’ll examine the periods of 1860-1920 and 1920-1980 of Western Europe. If the “Socio-cultural topics” are the synchronic method, the “Semantic basin” is the diachronic one which analyses six phases of “streams”, “division of the water”, “confluence”, “name of the river”, “management of riverside”, and “delta”. I’ll examine the “semantic basin” as the “Return of the nature”.
